About Child.org & Charity Concierge

Child.org is an international charity working to make pregnancy and birth safer for women and babies in Kenya, where maternal mortality is nearly twice the global average.

Since 2015, our flagship fundraising product - Charity Concierge - has partnered with some of the UK, Ireland and Europe's most loved festivals to deliver premium, donation-based concierge services; elevating the festival experience for guests while raising vital funds for our work.

Our trolley rental service launched in 2025 and has quickly become one of Charity Concierge's most lucrative offerings, with 60% of all profits going directly to Child.org. The Trolley Manager will play a pivotal role in boosting vital income so that we can invest in growing our life-saving maternal and neonatal health programmes in Kenya.

The Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic, capable Trolley Manager to join a small on-site team at each festival listed. Working closely with the Event Manager, you'll be one of the four operational leads for the Trolley Service on-site at each festival. You will keep the service running smoothly, encourage volunteers and ensure customers are happy.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that suits someone who thrives in a festival environment and has experience managing people or running operations under pressure.

While we hope to find candidates who can commit to all three festivals, we understand this may not always be possible - please clearly state your availability in your application.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be working closely with the Event Manager and be responsible for overseeing the Trolley Service at one or more festivals. Your main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Be a key point of contact for volunteers, Child.org staff members and festival staff.

  • Be responsible for delivering the introductory briefing to 20 - 30 trolley volunteers on the service, payment structures, using a card machine and operating the spreadsheets.

  • Overseeing logistics of the trolley service at the Trolley HQ: managing radio comms, running the service efficiently, monitoring stock levels at each location, ensuring payment systems are working & customers are happy.

  • Managing the volunteers, overseeing shifts, break times and general well-being.

  • Effectively communicate updates and changes with the Event Management team regarding the service, volunteers and customer satisfaction.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, that can communicate to volunteers and the general public effectively and politely.

  • A confident leader with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • Confident public speaker - you can deliver the briefing for 20-30 volunteers.

  • Someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

  • Someone who has experience working in events and/or managing a team.

Pay & Practicalities

Pay: £110 flat day rate. You will typically work 6 full days + one half-day Monday at each festival.

Hours: Up to 8 hours per day, between 7:30am and 9:30pm. Exact shift patterns will be confirmed by the Event Manager ahead of each festival. Occasionally you may be asked to work fewer or additional hours by the Event Manager than stated.

Food: Lunch and Dinner will be covered from Wednesday - Sunday. You must bring your own food for breakfasts, and any days that fall outside this window.

Travel: You must organise your own transport to and from the festival unless otherwise communicated by the Event Manager.

On-site: A festival access pass and crew camping pitch are provided for the full duration of your contract. You must bring your own camping gear, this is not provided.
