Camp Bestival Shropshire returns to Weston Park in Shropshire, and this year we have new roles available for our volunteers (see below). Charity Concierge volunteer registrations are now open - sign up now.

Please note: we no longer have space for more live-in vehicles at our Camp Bestival Shropshire campsite. If you plan to camp with us, please bring a tent.

 

WHY CAMP BESTIVAL SHROPSHIRE?

 

A FAB lineup that every year gets us movin’ and groovin’ in anticipation. From contemporary chart-toppers like Rudimental and Ella Henderson, to nostalgic icons such as Primal Scream and The Human League, Camp Bestival Shropshire always outdoes itself. Their 2024 lineup will be announced soon.

Activities galore making Camp Bestival about more than just music. There will be comedy, theatre, circus acts, silent discos, fancy dress competitions and more, making this the perfect festival for getting active and creative with your friends and family. Get ready for boogying, giggling, relaxing and - of course - getting to know this year's lovely cohort of concierges.

Lots of outdoor adventuring - wild swimming? Check. Outdoor spa? Check. Zip-lining? Check. Yes - this is the festival for outdoor adventure. Located in the magical Weston Park - complete with stately home - every activity is set against a backdrop of nature’s charming sights and sounds. 

 

VOLUNTEERING AT CAMP BESTIVAL SHROPSHIRE

Join us to volunteer at Camp Bestival Shropshire, a stellar sister show to the UK’s favourite family festival returning to Weston Park this year. A wonderland of expansive green spaces, luxuriant lawns, verdant parkland, and enchanting woodlands, festivalgoers can enjoy a host of glittering family treats.

The volunteer roles available include: Buggy driver, buggy ground crew, team leader and buggy assistant manager (see below for more info). You will be asked for your preference on your concierge registration form.

IMPORTANT: If you are interested in the assistant manager role, we recommend signing up for another role as well in case you are not successful with your recruitment process.

  • Help overloaded festival-goers get to their camping spots with ease by becoming a Charity Concierge buggy driver this summer! You will be picking up and dropping off guests throughout the festival and so a UK Driving License is required.

    You'll need to be onsite by 12pm on the Wednesday afternoon before the festival for a briefing and to drive around the different routes.

    You'll have three 7 hour shifts, with a full day off over the main festival and finishing on Monday afternoon. If you aren't able to stay until the Monday evening but you're keen to drive a buggy, get in touch with hello@charityconcierge.org.

  • As part of the Buggy Ground Crew you will be working in teams to manage the logistics of our festival taxi service. It will be your job to chat to customers, coordinate buggy movements and ensure a smooth taxi operation throughout the festival!

    You'll need to be onsite by 12pm the Wednesday before the festival for a briefing. You'll have three 7 hour shifts, with a full day off over the main festival and will finish on Monday afternoon.

  • As a Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for a team of 10 - 15 concierges, making sure they know what they are doing and how they can be awesome Concierges. In particular, you’ll need to ensure that your team are present and on time and that they’re aware of their role (you can always ask core management for help). You’ll also need to motivate your team and keep their spirits high!

    You will be working either in General Service or with Buggy Service.

    You'll need to be onsite the Wednesday afternoon before the festival for a briefing. You'll have three 7* hour shifts, with a full day off over the main festival and will finish on Monday afternoon.

    *you may need to attend shifts 30 minutes early to prep and support the team.

  • As Buggy Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the Event Manager and be responsible for overseeing the Buggy Service.

    You’ll be responsible for delivering an introductory briefing; overseeing the logistics of the buggy service from our Buggy HQ; and managing a team of up to 60 buggy drivers and ground crew.

    This role requires significantly more responsibility. You’ll need to be a confident leader, comfortable in public speaking, apt in problem solving and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working in events and/or managing a team would be valued.

    We recommend signing up as a volunteer and then submitting your interest for the paid role; then if you're not selected your place is still reserved and we'd reimburse the deposit cost.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • You will be required to pay a fully refundable deposit of £80 when you register. This secures us against people who want the free ticket but aren't planning to do the work. 

  • If you cancel within 3 weeks before the festival without a valid reason (please see our Terms & Conditions) then we are under no obligation to return your deposit. The same applies if you fail to attend all of your shifts without a good reason.

  • You must be over the age of 18 on the starting date of the event. Please do not register if you will not be 18 at this time.

  • We will provide you with your Concierge T-Shirt!

  • All Concierges will be expected to read and comply with our Volunteer Code of Conduct.
